CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION

The City of Miami Gardens has engaged a Design/Build firm to design, permit and construct pedestrian improvements at the Hard Rock Stadium in the City of Miami Gardens, which shall be complete prior to a big event scheduled for February 2, 2020. Proposed pedestrian prefabricated metal bridge, fully enclosed with galvanized mesh, with minimum clearance of 17.5’, a span of approximately 145’, height of 15’ and 15’ of inside clear width, with concrete ramps and steps to provide ingress and egress to proposed pedestrian overpass. Proposed ramps and steps will be constructed in private land, which access to the public will be uninterrupted, open 24 hours a day and an easement granted to the City of Miami Gardens to place proposed ramps in public land. The project also included two pedestrian tunnels, to cross the perimeter road surrounding the stadium, without conflicts to pedestrians. The pedestrian tunnels included prefabricated concrete structures, drainage, underground utility relocation, and sump pump modifications.

Premiere Design Solutions Inc. (PDS) was retained as the Land Surveyors and Civil engineers for this very aggressive schedule. PDS’s expedited response and experience working at Miami Gardens was key to the successful completion of this project, not only in the design phase, but also in the permitting stage. PDS also coordinated the drafting and approval process through Miami-Dade County for the land and aerial easements required for the pedestrian bridges.

This project included:

  • Design Survey
  • Easement Coordination
  • Stormwater Management Design
  • Permitting
  • Utility Design and Coordination.
