This Design Build project proposes a new 100,000 square foot terminal, known as Terminal H, at the westernmost end of the PortMiami, which will house state-of-the-art accommodations for the newly created cruise company: “Virgin Voyages”. The new terminal includes a palm grove by the Miami-based designers from Arquitectonica, designed by Bermello Ajamil and Partners and Built by Suffolk. This new concept encompasses a design that builds on Virgin Voyages’ design ethos of the Modern Romance of Sailing, a thoroughly new take on the formal grandeur and opulence of the ocean liner heyday that heroes ocean views with a thoughtful root in history and tradition.
Premiere Design Solutions, Inc. (PDS) was responsible in this project for all the Land Surveying and Underground Utility Locations services needed from the Design Build Team. The project has a very aggressive schedule, and PDS expedited the completion of land surveying and underground utility investigations. Thanks to quick response, the readily available badged personnel to work at PortMiami and knowledge of port operations, PDS was able to coordinate the field work with Builder and PortMiami Staff to complete the project within the tight time frames stipulated by the Design Builder.
